I started running in February 2013. After about a year of consistent training and running 5Ks, I am ready to expand my distances. On a whim, I ran a 10-miler in early February 2014. It was tough. The weather was tough, the course was tough and the run was tough, but I finished! The plan was to do 5 and 10Ks and train for my first half marathon in December, but that didn’t happen. Instead I signed up and ran my first half just two months later—the Diva Half. Now, I’m training for my first marathon with a goal of finishing in 5:30 (12:36 pace).
